Nectaron/Hort 4337 is an aroma hop from New Zeeland's Plant & Food Research. It's a sister to Waimea and it's intensive in its tropical fruitiness. We had the pleasure of tasting a brew made with Hort 4337 at the brewery exhibition in Germany 2019 and the hop really was tropical, dominated by passion fruit and citrus.Nectaron will be excellently suited for all modern beer styles in which you want a distinct fruitiness, for example in APA and IPA. Described as “breathtaking”, Nelson Sauvin has the unique ability to impart a distinctive cool climate white wine “fruitiness” that brings the grape sauvignon blanc to mind. The fruitiness may be a little overpowering for the un-initiated, however those with a penchant for bold hop character will find several applications for this true brewer's hop.Crop/skörd: 2025Form: PelletsAlpha acids: 11-13%

The aroma of this hop is described as “bold” as it delivers a herbal infusion of fresh citrus and crushed black pepper. Brewing trials have illustrated Pacific Jade as an excellent hop that delivers a pleasing soft bitterness matched to desirable aroma characteristics.Brewer’s notes: Suited for use as a bittering hop with some excellent results also being seen in dual purpose applications, with a soft bitterness attributable to the low cohumulone. Pilgrim is considered round and full bodied with classic English-style bitterness, its complex flavor and aroma have been likened to grassy herbs, grapefruit citrus, berries and pears right through to spice, cedar and honey.It has good storage stability, an excellent yield potential and resistance to wilt and mildew. Pilgrim is a true all-purpose hop, great in the boil from beginning to end.Pilgrim’s siblings, First Gold and Herald are both dwarf hop varieties, Pilgrim however is not. A cultivar of Wye College, England, Pilgram displays first-rate bittering qualities in addition to favorable aroma and flavor characteristics. Riwaka smells strongly of passion fruit and citrus with elements of coniferous forest. Riwaka is the archetype for how New Zeeland Hop Character is defined.Unfortunately the Riwaka plants yields a very small harvest which combined with the high demand is the reason why we haven't been able to procure it for many years.Riwaka is excellent for when you want a distinct fruitiness, for example in an APA or IPA. It's also suitable for modern lager and saison.Riwaka, previously called D-Saaz, was developed by New Zeeland hop development program "Hops with a difference" in 1997 by crossbreeding Saaz with a couple of domestic hops. It quickly grew to be one of New Zeelands favorite hops, which is easy to understand once you've brewed with it. Saaz is one of the four original Noble hops and has a distinctive and classic aroma. Known for its prominent use in Stella Artois and countless Bohemian Lagers and Pilsners. Its warm, herbal character stems from a high level of farnesene while its other oils are in fair balance.With such a low alpha acid percentage, Saaz is inarguably an aroma hop, however, when used as an early addition it is thought to add a delicate bitterness. Sabro™ brand HBC 438 is the newest release from the Hop Breeding Company. Sabro is an aroma hop that is notable for its complexity of fruity and citrus flavors. It imparts distinct tangerine, coconut, tropical fruit, and stone fruit aromas, with hints of cedar, mint, and cream. Sabro’s pedigree is the result of a unique cross pollination of a female neomexicanus hop. Simcoe is best characterized as having a pronounced pine or woodsy aroma with bright citrus flavors (blood orange) with earthy undertones, aromas of grapefruit and herbs. With a high alpha percentage and low cohumulone, it makes a very nice foundational bittering hop. Aroma hop from Germany with a strong aroma of tropical fruits, passion fruit and a hint of mango produced by Hopsteiner.Solero was released by Hopsteiner in 2019 as an aroma hop with lots of tropical fruit flavors. Slovenian hop from the district of Bobek with pleasant aromatics and bittterness. Superdelic™ (Trial Hop • NZH-102) is another new aroma hop variety from New Zealand's Plant & Food Research. The experimental hop HBC 692 is commercialized with 2020 years harvest and has gotten the new name Talus. Target, or Wye Target, is a relatively recent high-alpha variety, with good aromatic properties. Tettnanger has a soft spiciness and a subtle, balanced, floral and herbal aroma. Wai-iti is a very popular aroma hop with unusually low levels of alpha acids. It has a very fresh and fruity character of lime and stone fruits. It's been praised as one of the most interesting strains for single hopped beers.Common beer styles are pale ale, hoppy wheat and lagers.Released in 2011, it quickly caught interest for its low levels of alpha acids but high content of aromatic oils. A fine clean triploid Hallertau bred from the German Hallertau Mittlefruh, it is slightly less spicey than true Hallertauer Mittlefruh. This hop variety has a nice mix of floral and slightly citrusy character. Developed by Select Botanicals Group, proprietary American hop Warrior® is fast becoming a favorite, especially with US craft breweries. Among its desirable traits are its clean, smooth bittering and a somewhat inconspicuous citrusy and spicy aroma. Its pedigree is a unknown to the public. A relative to the Goldings variety but with a more powerful hoppyness in it's character.
