The hop plant comes from Korsta village, Sköns parish near Sundsvall. On a parcel map from 1769, you can see where the hop cultivation was located. Just over 200 years later, the hops were still growing in the same place and were donated to a project with the Nordic Museum, the Program for Cultivated Diversity (POM) and the National Archives (GEORG database) to preserve green cultural heritage. The hop variety is now cloned and preserved in the National Archives' database for the future.
